Lori Kmet, MLT, BSc (MLS), MBA – Executive Director / Registrar / Complaints Director / Privacy Officer
Lori joined the ACMLT on June 1, 2008, as executive director and registrar. She attended SAIT and continued her studies at the University of Alberta, graduating in 1996 with a BSc in Medical Laboratory Science. Since becoming an MLT in 1992, Lori has progressed through the roles of technologist I, technologist III, regional team leader, and core laboratory manager. She has experience in all laboratory disciplines, with a focus on transfusion medicine and hematology. Her career spans both the public and private sectors within Canada and the United States. Lori continues to further her education, concentrating on healthcare administration and executive management. Lori enjoys entertaining family and friends, jogging, and shopping. She is also the official ACMLT “chocolate connoisseur.”
Larissa Fadish, MLT – Manager of Professional Practice and Competence / Deputy Registrar
Larissa assumed her role as manager of professional practice and competence / deputy registrar in the spring of 2010. Since graduating from NAIT in 1993, Larissa has worked at the Royal Alexandra Hospital in Transfusion Medicine, Core Laboratory, and Specimen Control. She has been an active volunteer with the ACMLT for several years as a member of provincial and national convention planning committees, a Council member from 2002 to 2004, and a member of the regulated member resource list (RMRL) from 2004 to 2010. As a member of the RMRL, Larissa participated on investigations and hearing tribunals in complaints of unprofessional conduct against ACMLT members. During that time, Larissa took several courses in administrative law and is currently working toward her certificate in tribunal administrative justice.

Gloria Graham – Hearings Director
Gloria joined the College January 1, 2009 as Hearings Director. Her past experience includes working for the RCMP as a detachment clerk and civilian member. She has also worked in office administration and currently works part-time as Duty Manager at a theatre/concert venue. In her spare time she is an avid reader; enjoys time with her family and volunteers with a couple of organizations.

Avaleen Petryk – Executive Assistant
Avaleen joined the ACMLT in July 2002 after receiving a BA in linguistics from the University of Alberta. Along with working full-time for the ACMLT, Avaleen has been working part-time as administrative support at a theatre/concert venue since 1996. In her spare time, Avaleen likes to take in the outdoors through various activities such as walking, mountain biking, hiking, kayaking, and travelling.
Sharon Semeniuk – Finance Manager
Sharon joined the ACMLT in February 2006 as a part-time bookkeeper. She brings with her many years of experience with various businesses and government agencies, as well as an honours degree in business administration. Sharon volunteers for a number of organizations, loves spending time with her daughter and husband, enjoys being active, and writes word-search puzzles for various publications.
